Bullard Elementary School
Established 2003


William E. Bullard Elementary School opened in August 2003 with
one thousand students in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade.
Bill Bullard, a native of Marietta, was president of Mayes-Ward-
Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, Georgia. He was a founder and
director at United Federal Savings and Loan and served on the board
at Barnett Bank and Bank South. He graduated from Marietta High
School, Emory University, and Gupton Jones College of Mortuary
Sciences. He was a trustee of the Kennesaw State College Foundation, a
director of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the
Cobb Advisory Board of the United Way.
He won the Cobb County Citizen of the Year award in 1995. Bill
and his wife, Peggy, gave the Root House to the Cobb Land Society
for restoration.
