School Store and Spirit Wear

Practice your math skills by shopping at the School Store. The first store date is September 30 from 7:15 to 7:45. Check out our fun school supplies that cost between 25 cents and $1.50. Spirit wear is also available, but pre-order this from Marcia Johns mmcmmjohns@comcast.net.

Order spirit wear anytime by contacting Marcia Johns at mmcmmjohns@comcast.net. We have fleeces and t-shirts in youth and adult sizes, caps, and adult sized collared shirts available. These items will also be available at the Fall Festival and Turkey Bingo, so do some holiday shopping!

Legislation and Advocacy

Part of the Local and National PTA’s mission is to speak on behalf of all children and youth. For over 100 years, PTA volunteers have used their time, energy, experience and knowledge to bring about changes in laws, policies and programs for the benefit of children. Legislation and Advocacy volunteers will report on a wide variety of child-related issues via eblasts, newsletter articles, and presentations at PTSA meetings.

Junior Achievement

JA Worldwide is a partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers — all working together to inspire young people to dream big and reach their potential. JA’s hands-on, experiential programs teach the key concepts of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy to young people all over the world. Volunteers are provided a complete step-by-step kit to lead 5 classroom discussions on various economic topics. You can co-teach with other parents, or lead all 5 discussions yourself. Healthy Living Week

Fall Festival

Where can you go for jumpies, slides, rock climbing, cake walk, DJ, entertainment, spirit wear, food, and more? The Bullard Fall Festival! Come to the bus port area from 2:00 to 5:00 this Saturday, October 3, and help Bullard Give Back by bringing a canned good and/or a children’s book.

Book Fair

This event is offered during conference week in January, and is an opportunity for students, teachers, and parents to purchase books for home or class use. Volunteers are needed to set up/clean up, run the cash register, and assist during sale hours.

Dear Parents,

Bullard PTSA would like to welcome you back for the 2009/2010 school year! We want to make your Sneak a Peek experience as smooth as possible; see below for some helpful hints. You can also view the merchandise order form and spirit wear options on the website, so you can come prepared to shop!

· When you arrive, look for your child’s classroom information outside of the school and on the bulletin boards in the middle of the two upstairs hallways. Proceed to your classroom first and fill out paperwork there.

· After meeting your teacher(s) proceed to the cafeteria. PTSA will have a table set up with order forms and will have floaters to assist you with the forms and spirit wear sizing.

· PTSA items include shirts, hats, magnets, communication pads, yearbooks, and PTA memberships.

· Once your form is filled out COMPLETELY proceed to the purchasing table. There are 4 copies, so press down when writing.

· We accept cash or checks only. Please make checks payable to Bullard PTSA. ALL checks must have a local phone number and address on them; also include student’s name and teacher in memo line.

· Save your receipt, this is your proof of purchase for yearbooks.

· We encourage you to purchase the Bullard Bargain…this includes a yearbook, communication pad, magnet, 4 PTSA memberships, and $5 off spirit wear. You save $15 by purchasing this special! Share any extra memberships with other family members, so they can get discounts on national and local products!
