Ann Weeks Music Scholarship
The Ann Weeks Music Scholarship program was created in 1977
in honor of Ann Weeks, past Georgia PTA President. Any student
meeting the written guidelines may enter. Competition is judged in
the following talents:
Vocal
Piano
Instrumental
Winning students receive scholarship dollars
sent from the PTA directly to their music
instructor or institution. Donations in honor or
memory of a member, teacher, administrator, or community
member are an excellent way to honor someone who supports
arts in education. Deadline for entries is January 30, 2005. More
information will be sent home individually or you may contact a
PTA officer for an entry form and guidelines.

Cultural Arts Programs
Many exciting programs are brought to our students; many of
which are worked into the curriculum at the
appropriate time. Some examples of the
programs presented are:
Storytelling
Music
Plays/Drama
The students look forward to the excitement, enabling culture to
be part of the learning process.

Reflections
Reflections is a national PTA program open to all students.
Students have the opportunity to express their creativity and
originality by participating in a variety of categories following a
designated theme. The categories are:
Visual Arts
Photography
Literature
Music
The 2006-2007 theme is “My Favorite Place . . .”.
We encourage all students to enter this program, which is
conducted in a non-competitive manner designed to build
self-esteem. While there will be students who are chosen to
continue on to higher levels of judging, Bullard is careful to
recognize each participant for his or her efforts/entry (entries).
The program takes place in the Fall; additional
information will be sent home at that time. Because the program
is designed to encourage and recognize individual creativity,
each entry must be the work of one student, without help from
and adult or other student. Students may enter as often as they
wish, in as many categories as they would like.

River of Words
The River of Words is a national poetry and art contest open to
all students. The program invites children to explore their own
water shed, discover its importance, and express its meaning to
them utilizing words and/or pictures. Selected pieces are chosen
to go on to a higher level of judging, and may be on display as
part of a tour of schools. Additional
information and entry forms will be sent
home with the students. The program
deadline is in February.
