KIDS TECH – The Spring Semester Tech-Class is where your child is introduced to Drones, Virtual Reality, and APP Building! These disciplines are changing our world and Kids Learning Tech is on the cutting edge. DRONES/NETWORKING: Why should the government get all the fun? In this class, ur students will learn the ins and outs of driving their own Drones. As they do that, we “trick” them into learning about Wi-Fi, SSID’s, IP Addresses, Packets, Frames, and MORE! The future will not belong to whoever owns the drones, but to who controls them. VIRTUAL REALITY: Virtual Reality is VR’y exciting! Sigh…Ok. We’re lousy at puns. But we’re awesome at teaching tech! Each week, we will bring in the VR headsets for the children to learn with as well as the tools for them to create and explore their own spaces/worlds. This is a trip that we cannot wait to embark upon with your students. APP-BUILDING: Can any of us remember what life was like before Apps? If you can (I’m sorry that you’re as old as me) that means you know how awesome they are! In this class, we will work with the students, going through our step-by-step process to create their own functioning App. By the end, they will not just be consumers of technology, but one of its progenitors. Thursdays (2nd-3rd) 2:30-3:30 and (4th-5th) 3:45-4:45
